Sneak Peek: Fun Senior/Family Session!
I have to apologize, I expected to have this posted a few days ago but had a family emergency that slowed me down for a while. Fortunately everything is good, and I finally have this sneak peek done! I always love when people have ideas for their portrait sessions to make them more custom, so I was excited about all of the suggestions this high school senior’s mom had for her son’s pictures. He plays the electric guitar, which I thought was very cool, don’t think I’ve met anyone that knows how to play that instrument till I met him! Also, his uncle very recently gave him a nice car that I think he is a little excited about, and rightfully so!
You all were wonderful, thank you for your hospitality and I loved meeting each of you and the sweet, excited, happy, playful, big, strong dog! I look forward to the day we can have a dog, and am always thrilled when the family dog gets to be in some pictures. I am working as much and fast as I can to finish up your session photos, and I’ll let you know when they’re ready! Hope you love your sneak peek!
Super awesome family photo-made you smile dad!
What a lucky guy to get a car during his senior year!
Isn’t he a beautiful dog? He’d make me happy too if he were mine.
I have to say I’m a little jealous of his guitar skills. My guitar experience consists of about 20 minutes worth of Guitar Hero…..about 2 years ago, hehe.
You both did great, you made me laugh, you were relaxed and natural in front of the camera and this is what we get when people do that–beautiful shots!
Sneak Peek: Fall Family Portraits
I’m meeting more people recently with bigger gaps between their children, and it’s a fun change for me. However for this session it was more than fun, it was a blessing because I seem to have caught one of the many bugs floating around, and I had basically no voice at all that day! So I’m very thankful for the older “kids” help with their 3 year old little brother. He is energetic and busy and I wouldn’t have been able to get his attention if I wanted to, so their help was much appreciated. Thank you all very much for doing the session despite my lack of talking ability, and I hope you’re going to love the photos! We got a LOT of wonderful ones (as you’ll see from the many I post)! This way you’ll have good options to choose from for a Christmas card or your wall!
What a gorgeous family!
Little brother looks up to them both so much
Mom & Dad are tons of fun
And the kids, oldest to youngest…..
And of course we had some fun with the leaves!
Sweet Baby Boy
I met this little cutie when he was 3 weeks old. Since he was already getting older, if you can say that about a 3 week old baby, his Mom was naturally anxious to get the announcements out. They’ve already seen all the photos, so this isn’t so much of a sneak peek for their family, but it is for everyone else I suppose! He really is a good baby, although reluctant to sleep, he did very well for being awake for almost 2 hours straight!
He didn’t want to sleep one bit for me, but I’m not complaining because he is a very calm, happy baby! As a matter of fact, this is the very first photo I took!
His big sister seems to be enjoying him just a little bit
And what little boy doesn’t love cuddling with his mom?
He has a perfect little face!
Christmas is right around the corner!
And that means Christmas cards, and pictures, if you haven’t done them already! For existing clients, those who have or plan to book a holiday session, you can view my available Christmas card templates starting today!
If you are interested in seeing the goodies, please contact me and I will give you the link and password.
What a difference a year makes!
This coming Sunday my sister and her husband are celebrating their 1st anniversary! You might remember seeing their wedding photos, but I’ll post a picture anyways
That’s not the only exciting thing they’re celebrating though! They’re expecting the stork to deliver a sweet bundle of pink joy in just a couple short weeks! Ok, yes, actually the stork isn’t the one delivering the baby, but wouldn’t that be nice!
When I went down to Twin Falls to do her baby shower we had a fun maternity session before I drove back home. I can’t tell you how very excited I am to meet my little niece, as she is making me an auntie for the first time!
As is typical with my sister and Sterling, every session is a blast! To put it quite honestly, getting them to focus and cooperate takes a while….
But, once they get it out of their system, we always get gorgeous shots!
This one is my favorite I think, not sure why but I love it!
And check out this one of my beautiful sister, she could grace the cover of a magazine!
Finally, for anyone wondering what Sterling was up to while I was doing photos of my sister alone, he was karate chopping the trees!
Stick around for a sneak peek of a sweet (and very awake) newborn boy, and of course for pics of my little niece when she decides to show herself!
Three adorable kids
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting a great family here in Boise. The kids are 9, 6, and 5 months, and what beautiful kids they are! The photo session was mainly for the new baby, but with Christmas sneaking up on us, we did get some cute portraits of all three. The poor things had to suffer through a very chilly and windy day with no jackets. Thank you all for cooperating and giving me a great potential photo for the Christmas card this year!
Thank you Kim for being patient with me and waiting over a week for this little preview, I hope you truly love the photos! I’m only posting two now, but I saw how much you love black and white portraits so I’m posting both the color and b/w versions of these. Enjoy your sneak peek!
Of course I’m always happy when I feel like I’ve gotten a great shot, so when Kim told me the baby gets weird when a camera comes out and doesn’t usually smile, I was happy I managed to get this picture. Even with the hand by his face, I think he’s cute as can be!
Mr T.
This little guy and his mom came to my house for photos a few days ago. Sorry this took so long to post mom, I’ve been pretty busy! I guess I didn’t catch him at his best time during the day, so he wasn’t very happy unless being held by mom, but there’s nothing wrong with that! Hope there’s at least a couple pictures you like, otherwise we can try again later.
Jesa: Part II
Well since the weather wasn’t on our side the first time around Jesa and I got together again last night to give it another shot. I wanted her to have more variety for her senior pictures, and I think we accomplished that, yay!
I’m throwing my sister a baby shower this weekend, so before things get too hectic I thought I better post your sneak peek. I may post more next week, but here’s a little preview for ya girl!
Jesa and her mom are kind enough to allow my little girl to tag along to our sessions. She wanted a picture of Alana cuddled up sleeping on her, she’s so sweet. Had to show you this one Jesa!
Alana: Two Months Old
So I’m super late in posting this….but better late than never so they say! My darling little girl is right at two and a half months now, but I still have to post her two month portrait. She’s the best baby I’ve had. She cries only when she’s tired or hungry, and she’s slept through the night more than once! Yes, even gone 8 hours between feedings at night, amazing! She’s a champion baby in my eyes. I love the photo I got of her here. I should have tried this when she was younger, but I didn’t, and I knew “molding” her how I wanted her was probably only going to get harder as she got older, so we gave it a shot. She did not want to keep her head straight but she finally did. I told my husband other than her smiling pictures I think this is my favorite one of her so far. I loooove it! Ok, yes I could go on and on about my daughter but I’ll stop. For now
I love you baby girl
Damen & Donovan: 10 week old twins
I met sweet little Damen and Donovan over the weekend. It was cool to do their portraits because they were born on the same day as my daughter was! They were born 5 weeks premature though, where my daughter was a week late (the stinker). Also, they are only the second set of twins I’ve photographed, but both sets so far have been boys and have been 10 weeks at the time of their session. They did great, they both have the cutest little natural faux hawks and stunning blue eyes!
Here’s a sneak peek for you mom! I think we got some winners.
The rest will be ready in a couple days for you to see and share with family and friends!
Meet the boys
This is Damen…..
And Donovan
Sound asleep, for a moment!
And this little lady let us borrow her room for a couple hours. She’s had a lot of change in the past couple months, she got two new cousins AND a new baby sister within two weeks! She was a little camera shy, but isn’t she a doll! I couldn’t resist trying to get a picture. Love those curls!
