Sneak peek: Jesa – Class of 2010

I have photographed Jesa before during a family session for the holidays last year, so I knew her senior portrait session would be a breeze. She is gorgeous AND easy to work with. All week the weather was nice, then what do you know, Saturday evening rolls around and we get rain and lightning! Fortunately the rain was only pouring for a few minutes a couple different times so we just waited it out then started up again once it stopped. Jesa, I had a blast, you’re a fabulous girl. I can tell you’re smart and will succeed at anything you put your mind to. Keep that spirit of confidence girl! :) Hope you enjoy your final year in high school! Here’s your sneak peek, I will have your private gallery up soon with the rest of them.

Availability

I’ve been contacted recently with people unsure whether or not I’m working after having my daughter. I thought I should let everyone know that yes, I am available for sessions again and I do have a couple sessions lined up for sure in September that I’m very excited about! Autumn is approaching and that means beautiful fall pictures and also that the holidays are quickly approaching, time for holiday pictures and cards! But I won’t get ahead of myself. If you’re interested in booking this fall to take advantage of the pretty fall colors in the Boise area, and/or for your holiday cards please contact me to reserve your session.

Sweeter than candy

Alana is growing and changing everyday. She has always smiled, but these days she smiles a TON. She smiles when I talk to her, when I smile at her, when she sees things she likes, it’s adorable. Since she’s more predictable with her smiles, I wanted to try to get a good photo of her smiling. I think I got a great one! :)

One month already?

It’s crazy how fast time flies, especially when it comes to how fast children grow. Alana turned a month old a few days ago. It really doesn’t seem like that long ago that I was pregnant but obviously it was! She’s a great baby, hardly fussy and when she is it’s only because she’s tired or hungry. I couldn’t be more blessed! I was shopping in downtown Eagle and let out a little squeal when I saw this chair at a consignment store. It’s perfect, such a cute chair! I will use it again when she’s 6 months and then 1 year to show her growth.

The hat

I purchased this hat from a wonderful woman on etsy, and it was worth every penny even if I never get to use it again. Alana is so adorable wearing it! These are three of my favorite pictures from our shoot, though it was very tough to pick favorites!

She puckers her lips up a lot, so I am happy I caught it on camera!

This one is probably my most favorite of all the photos with the hat, it will be the one that I order a big huge print or canvas of!

And a closer shot, she’s so sweet all cuddled up. She sleeps best when she’s got a blanket. :)

Pink & lace

I’m having so much fun taking photos of my little girl. I had yet to try a “hanging” baby and with her I wanted to do something I’d never seen, so I used lace to hang her in. I love her little hand holding the lace back.

Alana has finally arrived!

Here she is! Labor was not the piece of cake I thought it’d be for a third child, hers was actually the longest! But I’m happy she’s here and I’d do it all over again! She came a week before my birthday, she’s the best present I could ask for!

This is in the hospital, she’s wrapped in their blanket and in the one I made for her.

And here’s her birth announcement :)

Oldest & youngest

I saw a portrait like this years ago and always wanted one. I’d forgotten about it, but then remembered and I’m happy I did because I love this picture. Baby is 4 days late now. We’re hoping she’ll be born on Father’s Day tomorrow!

Due dates are a terrible idea

Yes, it is important to have some ballpark estimate of when a baby is coming. But the feeling of having your due date come and go and still being pregnant is pretty miserable. Every morning I wake up disappointed I wasn’t wakened in the night by my water breaking or horribly painful, regular contractions. I hope to be posting pictures of her very soon, whenever she decides to come out and show her little face! I’m due today, so it’s got to be soon! *Crossing fingers!*
